Curriculum Coordinator

The Curriculum Coordinator will work with UTC leads to understand UTC’s curriculum strategy and oversee the day-to-day implementation and delivery of curriculum to that strategy.

A full time Curriculum Coordinator will oversee the following activities:
Identify new courses/curricula – in support of UTC leads
Oversee new course and game plan development
Coordinate upgrades and modification to the game plan or course delivery as requested
Establish published price and costing to be mutually agreed upon with UTC Lead
Oversee the new course intake process, forward data as required to vendors for roster management or reporting purposes
Assist in evaluation of vendors if requested
Oversee course delivery per the course gameplan (unless otherwise approved by UTC)
Leadership Center (Farmington, CT) & Tech Ed Center (E Hartford, CT)
When Supplier staff is on-site, visit classroom prior to session commencement to ensure that all needed materials and equipment are available (Pre-event Checklist)
All other training locations (on-site or off-site)
Call instructor prior to session commencement to ensure that all needed materials and equipment are available (unless otherwise contracted with third party vendor)
Monitor profitability of courses
Monitor quality of existing training programs
Serve as SME for UTC lead support
Provide education to call center and course administrators on new or revised curriculums
Proactively alert UTC leads of any quality related issues or delays in program delivery
Proactively manage the waitlist and communications to participants on the waitlist
Oversee session cancellations and work with UTC leads to determine the root cause for the cancellations
Coordinate with reporting team to provide UTC Leads with reporting as needed
Education/Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Training & Development, Organizational Development, HR, or related discipline
Five plus years experience in a corporate environment
Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively via telephone and e-mail with customers and peers in varying roles, including above average proficiency with related software (MS Word and Excel).
Experience in analyzing the client business needs and providing appropriate solutions.
Detail orientated with excellent organization skills
A combination of three or more years experience in product line management, training development, instructional systems design (ISD), or training facilitation
Experience in sales, project management, and client management
Demonstrated ability to analyze information, document conclusions, and develop recommendations for executive level management
