Customer Account Manager

Smiths Tubular Systems in Laconia NH, a manufacturer of precision and high quality tubular assemblies serving the aerospace industry is seeking an aggressive individual to join the Sales team as a Customer Account Manager.

A Customer Account Manager directs and coordinates customer service activities of establishment to install, service, and maintain items sold with service contract or warranty by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.  Coordinates information with other departments in the handling of purchase orders and in providing service to a customer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Liaison services between management, production department, sales department, and customers concerning the processing of company products.
• Confers with department supervisors or managers to define the company's quality assurance position and to discuss specifications required by the customer.
• Investigates customer complaints regarding quality, tolerance specifications, and delivered condition of products.
• Works with process planners to resolve issues with the contract review. Will be responsible for the proper presentation of all large proposals to customers.
• Maintains a good working relationship with CSR's, Quality, and the various production departments to insure a professional and complete presentation to the customer.
• Requisitions replacement parts and supplies.
• Meet with customer engineers, purchasing agents, managers or other professional technical personnel to advise of company products and developments.
• Review blueprints, plans, and other customer documents for preparation of cost estimates or projected increases in production or production costs.
• Works with finance and accounting regarding proper billing and payments.
• Occasional visits to customers may be needed.
