Customer Service Assistant

General/Other: Customer Support/Client Care CSR ensures delivery of excellent customer service through communication and coordination both internally and externally to customer. CSR’s act as main point of contact for general inquiries regarding sales orders, pricing, deliveries, returns and complaints. CSR’s build and maintain positive business relationships with customers by providing prompt and accurate service by performing the following duties and responsibilities:   Serves as main communication link between customers and sales staff to assure responsiveness. Process orders and or inquiries received by phone, fax, e-mail, and electronically through web based system. Provides pricing, availability and schedule information with established guidelines. Resolves routine customer complaints and issues Maintain customer matrix through web based systems Tracks order activity and alerts appropriate staff of potential delivery problems  AA degree; one year experience in Customer Service; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
