If so, read on!What you need to apply:• PhD or Master's degree in mechanical engineering with a focus on fluid dynamics. • Proficiency with commercial CFD, LabView, and SolidWorks software tools. • 2+ years industry experience simulating rotating machinery is a plus. • A strong background in and passion for fluid mechanics and heat transfer is a must. What you will be doing:• Developing design solutions and computational fluid dynamic (CFD) simulations on thermal applications. • CAD design, generating CFD meshes, configuring and running CFD simulations, analyzing the outputs of simulations, presenting the data, drawing conclusions, and making recommendations for design solutions. • Designing and running experiments to validate simulation results. • Conduct research and development in the full range of commercial and industrial fluid handling equipment for thermal and mixing applications. • Optimize research and development projects with regards to commercial and industrial fluid handling equipment. • Use computer aided design (CAD – SolidWorks) to design geometries. • Use CFD to simulate and analyze flow. • Use LabView to develop code for experimental test systems. • Adapt the computationally-based parametric design approach to the design of impellers and static mixer inserts. • Design and create new features in the tool to tailor it to new product designs.So if you are a senior design engineer with a background in mechanical engineering with a emphasis on fluid dynamics ... please apply!Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer.
