We currently have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Design Engineer in our CT location.This position offers a rewarding career path.We will relocate the right candidate to Hartford, CT!What you need to for this role:- Experience in design of turbine engine components required. - Turbine rotor design engineering experience a strong plus (practical understanding of manufacturing techniques a plus as well). - Unigraphics experience required, UG Sketcher experience also required. - Knowledge of Teamcenter desired. - Familiarization with ANSI, ISO and GD&T standards. - Experience with Geomagic software a very strong plus. - Technical college, university graduate or relevant years of work experience in Mechanical Engineering or related fields. What you will be doing:- Perform preliminary and conceptual design work to support the development of gas turbine engine components. - develop and create innovative design solutions to support cutting edge turbine engine technology. - Implementation of design methods and philosophies to provide design solutions which optimize component cost, weight and durability. - Support the quality, manufacturing and procurement functions during the design and manufacturing development cycle.
