Raytheon Vision Systems' (RVS) vision is to be the most admired firm in the industry for discriminating focal plane array based senor solutions. RVS has been a technology development and manufacturing leader for 55 years and our product line includes focal plane arrays, sensor electronics including signal processing, integrated dewar assemblies and cryocoolers. Job Description: This is a technical and supervisory leadership role. Candidate will be responsible for leading the digital design section of an engineering organization, whose charter is to develop advanced electronics for visible, infrared, and LADAR camera systems. Candidate is expected to be able to lead digital engineers through a design process that enables efficient design of digital electronics that meet the process rigor and design robustness required in an aerospace and defense environment. General technical tasks involve board level digital design, RTL level VHDL-based logic design, verification/validation, timing analysis, mixed-signal circuits, interfacing to analog circuitry, integration, FPGAs, ASICs, CPLDs, and microcontrollers. Other responsibilities include design documentation, test, troubleshooting and customer interface. Leadership responsibilities include streamlining engineering processes, overseeing proposals, participating in project planning, tasking, mentoring, performance development coaching, managing program budgets, schedules, and tracking metrics. Candidate will also be expected to lead partnership development (technical survey, partner selection, maintenance of relationship) to enhance product competitiveness and/or add technical competency to organization (e.g. embedded software). Required Skills: -A minimum of 10 years professional engineering experience. -Leadership experience in digital design, simulation, analysis, and test. -FPGA, ASIC, board design experience. -Proficiency with industry standard design tools. -Proficiency at circuit analysis and documentation. -Excellent presentation, documentation, and communication skills. -Must be process oriented and able to complete designs on schedule and within budget. -Experienced in digital circuits for video processing -Prior experience successfully executing quick turn developments for commercial, defense, and/or space industries. Desired Skills: -Functional Verification experience using Vera or System Verilog -Experience with Component Stress, Parametric, Worst Case, Noise, Static Timing, Power and Thermal analyses. -Working knowledge of electronic components -Familiarity with Mentor Graphics EDA tools - W orking knowledge of C/C++ and TCL programming. -Familiarity with embedded OS’s, e.g. VxWorks, QNX, WindowsCE, etc. -Familiarity with Built-In-Test implementation. -Six Sigma / process improvement experience.
