Director-Business Development and Strategy Position Description Director of Corporate and Strategic Development is responsible for driving execution of company acquisitions, divestitures, equity investments, and joint ventures in support of Boeings strategic growth objectives. Responsibilities include: Assurance that policies and procedures which govern Corporate Development Activities (CDAs) and related activities are properly followed; Project management of cross-functional teams through all stages of a transaction including strategic and financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, transaction structuring, compliance with applicable corporate governance, negotiations, approvals, communications, closing and integration; Leadership of the internal clearance process for CDAs with oversight from the Vice President, Corporate & Strategic Development; Support for routine communication of CDAs to the Board, senior leadership and other internal constituents; Participation in training and development of individuals in the business units and at Corporate who contribute to CDAs; Shared management of investment banking relationships; and Effective coordination with and support of the business units by managing partnerships between individuals within both the business units and Corporate functions. Candidates must demonstrate effective leadership skills and good judgment, as successful execution of transactions requires early and accurate identification of issues, effective problem solving and thoughtful leadership of the approval process. This position reports to and serves as the primary partner with the Business Unit Corporate Development leaders in the leadership of transaction execution.
