Director, Contracts

Our Corporate Office in the Los Angeles area has an immediate opening for a Director, Contracts.  The Director, Contracts is responsible for controlling all facets of pricing and contracts activity, including proposal preparation, administering, negotiating and terminating contracts, in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), company policies, legal requirements and customer specifications.

 

Will act as Corporate Export Compliance Officer, implement a compliance training program for Company Officers and employees, and ensure corporate compliance with ITAR and EAR regulations.  Will provide reports to customers and give monthly briefings to executive staff.  Supervises Contract Specialists and Administrators. 

 

This key position requires a BA or advanced degree in Business, Law, or a related field and 10 years of government contracts experience with increasing levels of responsibility, preferably in an R & D firm.  Excellent analytical abilities, attention to detail, a strong customer orientation, and effective verbal/written/presentation skills.  Proficient computer skills, experience with ProPricer cost estimating tool and any office accounting system (e.g., Costpoint) preferred.  The successful candidate must possess a desire to work in a creative, growing employee-owned environment.  US citizenship required.
