Director of Business Development for DoD - Great opportunity!
Business Development Director - DefenseThis position will be responsible for the business development activities with the Department of Defense and intelligence community and US Department of Homeland Security. The successful candidate will be hands-on BD leader, planning for major opportunities while coordinating the activities of other business development staff and multiple executing organizations on a daily basis. Duties include all phases of business development - identification, qualification, capture, and bid. In addition, all phases of account management, call plans, senior level contacts, development of strategic marketing plans for the Defense Programs Division. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in managing and/or capturing large programs. Individual will also be responsible for assisting in developing and executing a three-year growth pipeline consistent with the Division's vision, goals and objectives and core capabilities in information assurance, cyber security, network operations, telecommunications and systems engineering. The successful candidate will have proven experience in these core skill areas and existing relationships with customers for these capabilities. Individual will identify and participate in marketing events, such as trade shows and seminars that support market growth objectives. Individual will work in conjunction with the Division's marketing communications staff to develop advertising and marketing collateral that supports specific products and marketing objectives. Individual will identify and qualify prospective teaming partners, focusing on assisting the BU to meet its small business goals, as applicable. Travel up to 50% may be required for marketing and customer visits or to support other business development activities. Requirements:** Must have more than 10 years experience in managing and leading business activities within the DoD and Federal Government space with specific experience in services. ** Must have extensive knowledge of DoD acquisition process, customer base, key senior level contacts. ** Must have proven track record in planning, directing and controlling of major programs and managing proposal activities either as an end user (customer) or DoD contractor. ** Must have demonstrated capability for oral and written communication with all levels of company and customer set. ** Excellent analytical, presentation, and problem-solving skills; ** Must have the ability to gain internal support and to operate independently without supervision. ** Must have the ability to establish a solid working relationship with customers, other industry partners, technical staff, managers and peers. ** BS or BA in a related technical field is required. ** An MA, MS, or MBA is preferred. ** Current Secret Clearance ** Eligibility for access to Top Secret InformationTo apply and for immediate consideration, follow this link to the RSIS Career Center, cut & paste or attach your resume and create a profile.
