We're currently seeking an innovative Business Development Director to join our team.The Business Development Director is responsible for identifying, creating, qualifying and capturing new business for the Division's spacecraft and launch vehicle products and services both domestically and internationally. The position involves establishing teaming and partnerships with the customer and industry in both prime and sub-contractor roles. He or she will be responsible for enhancing our relationship with the customer and raising awareness of Goodrich ISR Systems capabilities. The incumbent will contribute significantly to the strategic planning process by providing inputs regarding future technology market opportunities and customer needs. This individual will plan, implement and contribute to the overall marketing performance by identifying new opportunities, developing existing opportunities and pursing future opportunities. We are seeking a proven strategist, with extensive experience in military and Government contracting to provide hands-on leadership and management of major proposals, including development and execution of win strategies. This position requires a strong technical background. Qualified candidates will possess the following:BS in Electrical Engineering (preferred) Computer Science, Physics or other technical field (engineering degree preferred); MBA or Master's degree preferred. A minimum of 10 years experience working in the space industry with a preferred focus on spacecraft bus and launch vehicle systems.Must have at least 6 years related DoD communications or equivalent combination of education and experience. Business Development and management experience Demonstrated ability to work with technical teamsProven ability to develop and execute capture strategies, and influence of customer decisionsThis position requires detailed knowledge and experience with DoD requirements and the acquisition process, as well as the marketplace for military and/or space equipment/systems. Candidates should have a robust network of customer contacts and a proven track record of capturing multi-million dollar new business opportunities. Individual should also have knowledge of competitors' products and market position. Must be forward thinking with experience successfully shaping business strategy. This position requires exceptional communication, networking, and negotiation skills.
