Documentation Control/Configuration Specialist

Point of contact for submitting critical and controlled documentation. Will also monitor submissions and reviewi for quality control issues that are set by document owners.  Will also be responsible for developing documentation.

Essential Functions:

 

-  Support and train users in documentation applications

-  Look for opportunities to automate  processes using documentation tools

-  Troubleshoot documentation issues

-  Review documents submitted and enforce data property collection requirements

-  Will be responsible for records retention

-  Will educate internal and external users on documentation handover requirements form various projects or programs.

-  Run reports as needed for internal customers

-  Ensure that others understand and adhere to requirements for controlled and critical documentation.

 

 

Required skills:

-  5+ years experience working in an R & D environment releasing and controlling prototype and final production engineering documentation. 

-  Experience working with engineering change orders and automated configuration control packages.

-  Technical business writing

-  Attention to details in tasks and work processes

Desired Qualifications:

-  Experience in reading engineering drawings and other engineering data and documents

-  Working knowledge of database systems

-  FAA configuration control experience a plus

-  BA/BS degree
