That's why we're here. Durability & Damage Tolerance Analysis Engineer Level 3 Position Description Develops, integrates and documents structural requirements to establish the system design. Coordinates with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment. Guides product design and verifies structural integrity by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance. Develops test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications. Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied. Supports in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements. Works under general direction. Demonstrates understanding of the applicable scientific and engineering knowledge and routinely includes company-wide subject matter experts to obtain good information for the engineering decision-making process. [ + ] Structural Analysis Expert knowledge of structural analysis principles, processes, methods, and tools for vehicles, including industry and company standards and practices; and ability to independently perform structural analysis tasks, within a multidisciplinary team environment. Education and/or Experience Requires educational credentials meeting the Boeing classification standards for engineers and typically 5 to 8 years' experience in an engineering classification or educational credentials meeting the Boeing classification standards for engineers and either a Master's degree with 3 to 6 years' experience or a PhD degree with 0 to 3 years' experience in an engineering classification. Other Job related information This is a HUB requisition that supports staffing requirements for several airplane programs in Washington State. Positions will be located in the Puget Sound area, WA. ABET accredited degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Aerospace Engineering.
