EH&S Contractor Specialist

The EH&S Specialist for Module Centers & Operations position is responsible for driving EH&S culture throughout the MCO culture - specifically focusing on Contractor Safety. The position will also assist in the implementation of the Humantech Ergonomic initiatives that have begun in each major organization. The position will plan and lead the EH&S function through strategic leadership and technical support. Oversight of local, state, federal, UTC/PW EH&S requirements will also be a function of this position.

BA/BS degree with 7 or more years of experience in safety/health related field
MA/MS degree with 5 or more years of experience in safety/health related field


Occupational Health & Safety or Environmental Engineering in a manufacturing atmosphere. Ability to develop partnerships across functions/organizations to provide actionable improvement plans/programs. Proven skill in leading cross functional teams, influencing senior management and operations, and achieving desired results in a timely manner. Provide guidance to manufacturing businesses regarding activities necessary to attain EH&S goals. Report to management on EH&S metrics. Evaluate and report on status of EH&S performance and impact on legislative and regulatory activities. Execute plans and communicate decisions in a timely and effective manner. Strong analytical skills and creative problem solving capabilities with demonstrated resourcefulness and versatility in responding to change. Proven ability and success working in a LEAN environment and interest, passion to drive the use of ACE (LEAN) tools in achieving success.
