General Description:
The Enterprise Architect is a key senior position for guiding the modernization efforts of the information management group that manages the critical information of a federal agency. The selected candidate will be one of the principal members of the core Enterprise Architecture team responsible for developing the “AS-IS” and “TO-BE” enterprise architecture roadmap for the entire program.

General Requirements: Expert-level understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (FEAF, DoDAF, C4ISR, or Zachman) and processes and be able to employ best practices within a large federal agencyAdvance degree (MS or PhD) in engineering with significant EA relevant experience.12-15 years experience in the Information Technology industryPractical experience implementing Federal Enterprise Architectures and applying Enterprise Life Cycle methodologies in government agencies. Strong leadership and planning skills, well developed interpersonal and communication skills with ability to build consensus among subject matter experts, to handle multiple tasks concurrently and to work across organizational hierarchies.U.S. Citizen or person with valid U.S. Work Visa who has lived in the U.S. for 5 or more years
Helpful:
· Minimum 7 years experience as an application developer, with full development life cycle experience (requirements phase through deployment)Hands on Experience with most of the following technologies and frameworks are a must: Struts, Spring, Hibernate, Tapestry, Ant, XML/XSL Parsers, other Apache/Jakarta Open Source tools and frameworksKnowledge of UNIX environment Knowledge and experiences developing Web ServicesExposure to GIS environment is a plus
Responsibilities:
Work with Federal agency's Architecture and Planning group to develop “AS-IS” and “TO-BE” EA products for the program and integrate the information into the overall program’s EA.Create/Update the program SOPs to incorporate EA products, processes, review boards and other governance procedures.Participate in EA review boards by presenting project initiation/approval briefings, seeking project approval, requesting baseline changes to project charters and responding to actions generated as a result of EA reviews of the programsParticipate in EA development meetings and other planning meetings to assist with interpreting program EA products into the overall program and agency EA and program strategic plansEnsure the program activities are properly represented in the program’s business plan and other agency enterprise architecture and planning products.
Candidates selected will be subject to a Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements.
