Electrical Engineer I

LOCATION: EL SEGUNDO, CA 90245 Job Description: Test Engineer is responsible for Special Test Equipment (STE) Design, development and integration of the STE with the Prime Hardware for Space and Airborne Systems. Test Engineer will work as part of a team to analyze Hardware / Software test requirements / specifications to determine Hardware and Software requirements. Potential areas of focus are: Antenna, RF Module, and/or RF Unit Test Systems. In addition to design, review, and release of STE requirements, and component level drawings, the Test Engineer will work, with other test engineers, to oversee the manufacturing of the STE and be responsible for its checkout and integration. Candidate will be required to analyze and test RF/digital circuits associated with unit and system level applications. The STE Department welcomes Test Engineers with a strong work ethic, a willingness to get engaged with the hardware to get results, and a positive can-do attitude. Ability to get a top secret clearance is required and a condition of employment. Required Skills: · Knowledge of RF/uWave Hardware · Knowledge of drawing software applications (ORCAD). · Working knowledge of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf Test Equipment (Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, DMMs, etc.) · Basic working knowledge of software applications (C, C++, Visual C, LabView). · 0-2 years of engineering experience Desired Skills: · RADAR Systems, Design & Test Development Background · Experience with Windows XP & 2000 and the Microsoft Office tools suite. · Self starter able to solve problems independently but also work as part of a team, as required. · Willingness to take direction, work to a defined schedule, and driven to get results. · Disciplined problem solving approach to all engineering tasks (testing. documentation, etc.).
