Electrical Engineering Manager

Electrical Engineering Manager manages the resources for electrical engineering.  They assign the lead electrical engineer, electrical engineers and drafters to programs.  They are responsible for managing the processes and procedures for electrical engineering and performing training to insure compliance.  The Electrical Engineering Manager is also responsible for performing the annual employee reviews of each electrical engineer and drafter by getting inputs from program managers and project engineers.  The Electrical Engineering Manager provides and manages the budget, to be approved, for company electrical design and development tools.  Additionally, the Electrical Engineering Manager supports Business Development.  This position reports to the Director of Engineering.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:·  Develop and maintain electrical engineering processes and procedures.·  Perform proficiency and new hire training of electrical engineering personnel, including drafters.·  Assure compliance to electrical engineering processes and procedures.·  Coordinate the scheduling of man loading of all electrical engineers and drafters for programs.·  Assist Engineering Management to formulate additional procedures for the engineering group as required.·  Works under general supervision and follows established procedures.·  Supports audits conducted to ensure intended performance is achieved.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE·  Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering and 5-10 years experience.  May be substituted for other related technical discipline and 15-20 years experience.  ·  Possesses general working knowledge of the Simulation and Training industry practices, standards and technology areas.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES·  Ability to work with Microsoft Project and Office Products.·  Through knowledge of electrical design and documentation requirements.·  Good communication skills.·  Good reasoning abilities.
