Electrical Test Engineer

The Test Facilities Operation, Maintenance and Engineering (TFOME) contract at the NASA Glenn Research Center provides engineering and technical services in the aeropropulsion and space propulsion and power test facilities. TFOMEmanagement is dedicated to excellence in service and to providing outstanding technical opportunities for our employees. We specialize in providing unique products and services to NASA Glenn. We are currently seeking candidates to join our team that will be providing facility and test engineering support as part of the TFOME contract at NASA Glenn Research.

 

The successful candidates will be responsible for supporting upcoming tests in both the aeronautics and space test areas here at the NASA Glenn Research Center and providing technical expertise in the installation, maintenance and in some cases, the operation of electrical, electronic and instrumentation systems as they relate to research test programs both large and small in a variety of NASA Glenn’s testing facilities.  Applicants must have general knowledge of combustion facilities, rotating machinery, fuels and fuel handling, process systems, vacuum systems, etc. 

 

The ideal candidates will have a B.S. degree (Masters preferred) in Electrical or Electronic Engineering. Knowledge of NASA’s Space and Aero test facilities and/or related test engineering experience a plus! Communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are essential.  Because of the nature of the testing, some shift and/or weekend work will occasionally need to be accommodated.
