Electro-Optics Lead Systems Engineer/Technical Director

This position is for an electro-optics Lead Systems Engineer/Technical Director for support of Combat Systems development programs. The candidate will work closely with the Program Manager and Customer to shape and develop new system capabilities and enhancements. The candidate will lead a multi-discipline engineering team to support concept development, design, integration and test of development program concepts. The candidate will be responsible for resolving integration issues on the development program. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in designing electro-optic imaging systems, lasers and fire control systems, product and system integration, compliance verification, and transition of programs from development to production. Required Skills: « 10+ years Systems Engineering and sensor development experience « Knowledge of Electro-Optical sensor operation, performance and applications « Utilizing numeric analysis and/or models to make technical decisions and trades « Ability to execute tasks with little to no direction and to direct the efforts of others « Working closely with technically skilled Teammates and Customers « Excellent written and verbal communications skills Clearance: Ability to obtain DoD Secret Security Clearance is required Desired Skills: « Knowledge of US Army tactics, techniques and procedures for reconnaissance, surveillance, and target acquisition « Prior experience developing fire control systems « Ability to perform quantitative analysis using tools such as Matlab (preferred) and Excel « Conducting qualification testing (Environmental, EMI, Reliability, Fire Control, etc.) to confirm a system or subsystem satisfies requirements « Experience resolving production or field failures « Risk and Opportunity Management Required Education (including Major): BSEE or BSME. MSEE or MS Systems Engineering specializing in electro-optics preferred.
