AP Labs, Inc. is seeking an Embedded Senior Software/Systems Engineer to join our growing engineering team.

 Summary of Functions:

1) Designs, Codes, Debugs, Tests and Documents software and related work products for realtime embedded products.

2) Generates Operations Manual Documents and supporting Test Code.

3) Participates with project managers in developing design material and supporting project review meetings.

4) Helps develop customer training materials and provides training to customers on software products and systems.  Participates in customer visits and phone support.

5) Supports Systems Testing and Test Lab Qualification Efforts and Analysis.

6) Follows and promotes professional corporate policies and processes such as configuration management and ISO 9001 design controls and practices.

7) Researches and Recommends COT’s board selections related new product bids.

8) Will multiplex on several assignments simultaneously.

 Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs all functions related to software development, including requirements specification, design, coding, debug, test, documentation.  A majority of the time will be coding in “C/C++” for either Linux or VxWorks.  Performs departmental duties for standard operating procedures, processes, and ISO 9001 design controls and training.  Will work with Program Managers, Customers and other departments to implement software and systems. Will have full project responsibility on some projects and will work as a team member on other projects.  Will support both legacy and new products.Organizational Relationships:

Will coordinate with various departments, including, Sales, Program Management, Engineering, IT, Quality, Materials and Manufacturing.Experience / Education Requirements:BS or MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering.  M.S. preferred.  Experience may be substituted for formal education.Five to 12 years related experience requiredWorking knowledge Linux, embedded Linux, Busy Box, Gnu-toolchain, etcWorking knowledge Device Drivers, ioctl, etc.Working knowledge TCP/IP, Routers, iptables, and Linux Based Servers.Must have experience with Windows and Linux development environments.Must be capable of quickly taking ideas and turning them into coded/running functionsGood communication skills requiredMust be a team player
