Embedded Software Engineer - DO-178b, C, Matlab, UML

Location: Rockford, IL Employment Type: Full Time, Temporary/Contract/Project, Employee Expected Duration: 5+ to 7 Years Pay Rate: 60.00 - 80.00 USD /hour Reference Code: CHI98799  We need several Embedded Software Development Engineers in Rockford IL to help resolve software/requirements problem reports.  These PRs may involve problems with coding, tracing, and/or reviews.  Contract duration may be extended for top performers, currently this contract will run through the end of 2008.Must have embedded software development skills (DO-178B, C, Matlab, UML)Experience resolving problem reports is strongly desired Process:Must have formal software development life cycle experience (DO-178B preferred, but  ISO 12207, MIL-STD-498, or DOD-STD-2167A or equivalent is acceptable). Environment:Must have embedded C programming and debugging experience  Experience with the following is a plus: - MATLAB  - Artisan for UML requirements  - Avionics communications protocols (ideally AFDX/CDN, or MIL-STD-1553 or ARINC 429) - formal reviews of requirements, design, embedded C code, and/or test procedures - traceability of requirements, design, code and/or test procedures - DOORS - CM/Change Synergy - Lotus Notes  Domain:Aerospace product/industry experience is ideal, but automotive or medical device experience is also acceptable. Otherrequires BSEE, BSCS, BSCE degree or equivalentmay be senior, mid-level (preferred), or junior (with the right skills and attitude) but must be effective on arrival   Contact: PLEASE E-MAIL RESUMES TO: Apply by Email
