Summary of Duties:

§ Contribute to software modeling, hardware/software interactions and dependencies

§ Develop embedded software in C and C++

§ Develop and maintain 3D geometry algorithms

§ Develop firmware for multiple embedded platforms QN, Visual C++ and WATCOM C++

§ Contribute to software system architecture

§ Create engineering design documentation

§ Interface with hardware and firmware designers

§ Generate change requests and follow thru to completion

§ Develop test apps, debugging an automation tools to assist in product qualification

§ Design and develop embedded firmware to control and monitor products thru remote interface

 

Qualifications Summary:

 

The Embedded Systems Developer is responsible for designing and developing software using C and C++ to control and monitor a variety of hardware platforms.  New product development activities provide a “ground floor” opportunity for the qualified candidate.

 

Educational Requirements:  BS in Electrical Engineering Computer Science

 

Prior Work Experience: 3+ years experience

 

Technical Experience:

 

§ BS in Electrical Engineering Computer Science or equivalent work experience

§ Strong knowledge of 3D Math and Geometry

§ Knowledge and professional design experience using C and C++

§ Familiarity with Windows based software development

§ Knowledge of Object Oriented design methodologies

§ Knowledge of software and hardware debugging and testing
