Employee Relations Specialist
Systems Division provides select Government, commercial, and international customers value-added, total worldwide systems solutions for their air and missile defense, air traffic control, communications, command and control, range, spacelift, surveillance, and force protection needs, as well as full logistics support services for facilities and equipment. POSITION SUMMARY: The Employee Relations Specialist helps manage employee relations matters Company-wide including providing counsel and guidance to managers and employees regarding Company policies and procedures, conducting internal investigations, preparing required legal and Government reports, and ensuring that all terminations, investigations and employee relations matters are handled with consistency and fairness and without discrimination. MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:1. Work with managers and/or employees to address, manage, and resolve employee relations issues while maintaining confidentiality. Issues may include, but are not limited to, employee performance, attendance, application of law, policy and procedure, Code of Conduct and compliance, etc.2. Responsible for conducting internal investigations locally and through travel to field locations as needed.3. Responsible for participating in unemployment hearings as needed.4. Provide and participate in supervisory and employee training 5. Work closely with legal department and outside counsel to ensure that Company is in compliance with employment law in the administration of Company policies and procedures.6. Complete annual Affirmative Action Plan (AAP), EEO-1, and VETS-100 reports. Coordinate and facilitate AAPs for other Company programs as required.7. Conduct exit interviews for employees.8. Other Human Resources duties as assigned.MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED: Personal computer and other general office equipment.WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES: Works in a general office environment. Travel may be required to Company program locations to support leadership and/or process training and to perform other responsibilities. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent knowledge and/or experience.Experience: Three years experience as a Human Resources Generalist preferably with an emphasis in employee relations. Proficiency with personal computer and Microsoft Office knowledge is required. Must have the ability to write clearly and concisely. Good oral communication skills.
