Engine Systems Integration Manager

Hamilton Sundstrand is among the largest global suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and industrial products. We design and manufacture aerospace systems for commercial, regional, corporate and military aircraft and are a major supplier for international space programs. Our industrial products serve industries ranging from hydrocarbon, chemical and food processing to construction and mining.

This manager position is responsible for technical and administrative leadership of the Engine Systems Integration Department. This is a working manager position requiring both traditional management duties along with program technical leadership.

The Engine Systems Integration Department has 3 major responsibilities:

1) Monitors the phasing of a program to ensure that the all aspect of the design process are proceeding at a consistent rate.
2) Provides a structure to allow tracking of requirements flow throughout the entire design effort.
3) Ensures that lessons learned throughout the entire Life Cycle are fed back into the design process.

The department is separated into 3 disciplines: Systems Engineers, Performance Engineers, and a Safety and Reliability Group.

The Manager of this department will work to develop the processes and resources necessary to ensure the above responsibilities are met.
This manager is accountable for process improvement/development utilizing Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) tools and skills training.



BS degree in engineering required with 7-10+ years of experience
MS degree in a technical, management or business field strongly preferred

Candidate must have prior management and/or leadership experience within a technical environment, with a minimum of six years.

Background in Systems development, specifically Aerospace, is extremely essential.

Candidate should have excellent project management skills and be comfortable providing briefings at all levels of management and key customer contacts.
