Honeywell products touch the lives of most people everyday, whether you’re flying on a plane, driving a car, heating or cooling a home, furnishing an apartment, taking medication for an illness or playing a sport.The Quality Engineer (QE) works closely with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Phase 6 Engineering (transition from development to production), and customers to ensure quality requirements and concerns are identified and addressed within production operations, repair and overhaul, and during product development. The QE monitors product and process quality performance and leads teams as needed to address manufacturing, assembly, and engineering issues that impact quality, cycle time, and delivery of finished products. The QE is responsible for driving compliance to regulatory, customer, and industry quality requirements through continual improvement and the use of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Manufacturing Process Control tools and methods. Since the working environment for the QE is centered on manufacturing and assembly processes for aerospace equipment, background in Industrial, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering is desirable. Ability to analyze internal and external data to drive process and product improvements. Ability to interact, in a team approach, with other departments to drive process and product improvements. Ability to use Six Sigma tools to drive process and product improvements. Ability to communicate with internal customers on issues related to process/product quality. Knows when to elevate issues. Acts as the focal point for generation and presentation of quality metrics. Uses these metrics effectively to drive continuous improvement. Supports product audit function as required. Supports development programs as required.

Basic Qualifications:

 

Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or Operations or ten years directly related experience.

Four years directly related experience in either quality, manufacturing or engineering.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

Work experience in an Aerospace environment a plus.

Knowledge of FAA regulations beneficial.

Sig Sigma Greenbelt certification preferred.
