Engineer II Electrical

 

Honeywell Aerospace has an immediate opening within the Sensors Engineering group located in Phoenix, AZ for an experienced hardware engineer. The position is responsible for product development and delivery of Air Data components and systems.

This position will focus on hardware development and sustaining engineering projects.

Tasks include new product design, assistance in hardware / software integration, testing and debugging prototype hardware, generating engineering documentation, support for current production, and analysis of root cause and corrective action for field failures.

Participate in technical discussions with customers and engineering staff. Interact with production/operations staff, field support, and program management.

Basic Qualifications

 

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering 2+ years experience in a hardware engineering role.

U.S. Citizen or permanent resident

 

Additional Qualifications

 

The successful candidate must have a working knowledge of engineering concepts and ability to apply technical principles and sound judgment in solving engineering problems.

 

Experience in the following areas is desired:

 

Hardware engineering methods including design, analysis, documentation, simulation/breadboarding, test and verification; hardware tools including schematic capture and circuit simulation.

Must be able to provide resource and schedule estimates, prioritize work, provide mentoring and guidance and motivate the team to be successful. Have a working knowledge of standard PC application programs for word processing, spread sheets, data bases, etc. Knowledge of Air Data Products/Systems is a plus. Knowledge of FAA TSO, FAR's, AC is a plus.

Six-sigma green belt certification is a plus. Other qualifications include good interpersonal communication skills, self-motivation, and the ability to interface effectively with others.
