Engineer's Needed: 2 Positions JAVA, C++, MATLAB & modeling software algorithms/ aerospace systems

Length of assignment: 1 year, potentially renewable for both positions.

Job Description:

 

The candidate will develop an aerospace simulation environment to support design of advanced missile technology and perform related trade studies. The work will include original code generation as well as importing legacy code into the simulation. The code will involve modeling software algorithms, vehicle hardware, and environments. The candidate will also be expected to run the simulation and gather results for further analysis. This work will be done under the direction of a company staff member who will provide guidance on the algorithms, models, and operation, but the candidate will have primary responsibility for the coding implementation and running of simulations. Clear and thorough documentation of all code is essential. Coding will be in C/C++. Portions of the simulation will be imported from legacy MATLAB code.

 

The candidate should be experienced with the Windows operating environment, MATLAB, and C/C++ (preferably using Microsoft Visual C).

 

Qualifications:

 

Education: BS or MS in computer science, engineering, physics, applied math, or equivalent. Experience: 3+ years programming in C/C++. Some experience with MATLAB also required. Understanding of simulation principals desirable. Any experience related to aerospace systems a strong plus.

 

 

Special Talents: 

 

General: Good oral and written skills. Ability to take guidance and work in small team while still working independently to develop and test the code. Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks. Self motivated and able to work with limited guidance. Secret clearance required.

 

 

 BS or BA in Electrical Engineer

 

 

Experience (yrs.):  1-3

 

Assignment: 

 

BS or BA in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or equivalent. An analyst is needed to support modeling and simulation of missile defense systems of interest. The analyst will support the use of these tools for missile defense demonstrations, algorithm development, and system studies. Must be able to work in a multidisciplinary team and meet deadlines. Knowledge of a high-level programming language such as MATLAB, Java, or C++ is required. Familiarity with radar and optical system principles would be an asset for this work but is not required.
