Engineering Fellow TRS Tech Director

The Thales-Raytheon Systems (TRS) Technology Director is responsible to lead, manage and oversee the technology portfolio and technology development processes for the Thales-Raytheon Systems LLC, and to keep these technologies and processes aligned with the goals and strategies of NCS. TRS LLC is part of the TRS JV and reports into NCS. The 2007 revenues of TRS will exceed $400M and the engineering population of TRS exceeds 500. The 3 major product lines (Strategic Business Units) of TRS-LLC are; Air C2 Systems, C4I Systems and Battlefield Radar. The TRS TD is a dual report to the TRS Director of Engineering, and the NCS Director of Technology. This individual needs to have a comprehensive understanding of the relevant Command and Control technologies, as well as the ability to be a visionary concerning future technological capabilities and operational scenarios. Understanding and experience in radar technology is desirable. The TD must possess the technical strength as well as the business acumen and communication skills to establish a strong relationship with the corresponding technical community is the TRS-SAS business in France and guide the TRS-LLC and the JV into continued profitable business growth for all product lines. The mission of the TD is to effect the change necessary to build technology portfolios and development processes that align with the TRS and NCS strategic business goals. The TD also serves to build unified responses for activities within the NCS technology community, coordinating with other businesses and Engineering organizations as needed. To fulfill this mission the TD takes on the role of leader, collaborator, champion, and subject matter expert as required.
