Overview:Apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts. Contributes to the development of new principles and concepts. Works under consultative direction toward predetermined long-range goals and objectives. Assignments are often self-initiated. Determine and pursue courses of action necessary to obtain desired results. Work checked through consultation and agreement with others rather than by formal review of superior.

The successful candidate must have Boeing Material Review Board (MRB) certification or be qualified to obtain MRB certification within 6 months, have a strong background in stress analysis and extensive experience with Six Sigma and lean principles is preferred.

As a member of MRB on Boeing commercial programs, ensure full compliance of the MRB requirements set forth by Boeing, candidate must have a very strong knowledge of applicable FAR part 21, 25 and technical abilities in a broad range of engineering subjects to perform MRB tasks. Must be able to resolve complex engineering problems encountered during Manufacturing/Assembly process. Must have full understanding of the MRB requirements as established by Boeing under FAR part 21 for the disposition of non-conforming materials used in the manufacture of the commercial aircraft. Must be fully familiar with Boeing drawing systems and Boeing process specifications. Have strong knowledge of certification Procedures for Products and Parts and discuss the standards for certification of the design and production of the airplane, including reporting of failures, malfunctions, and defects. And be thoroughly familiar with quality control requirements set by Boeing

Be able to grow into a leadership role of a Liaison Engineering Group of engineers, oversee their daily activities and resolve all technical issues and provide weekly metrics, status and briefing to the management on the ongoing technical and current issues and provide budget and manpower recommendations.

Responsibilities:747-8 Program

Perform stress analysis of non-conforming products and repairs to ensure structural integrity is maintained.

Disposition of Non-conformance of commercial aircraft structure encountered during Manufacturing/Assembly process and production, including reporting of failures, malfunctions, and defects.
Resolve complex engineering problems encountered.
As a member of lean teams review, develop and implement revised/new processes using six sigma/lean principles.


Qualifications:B.S. degree or higher in engineering (Aeronautical Engineering, Civil engineering, Mechanical engineering) and must be able to successfully pass a test in Structural Analysis, Fatigue and Durability sponsored by Boeing.
