Engineering Manager - Dallas Area

A growing manufacturing firm in North Dallas area has an immediate opening for an experience Engineering/Manufacturing Manager.

 

Primary job duties will include, but not limited to:

-  Manage all aspects of Manufacturing including planning, directing and coordinating all relevant group activities.

-  Managing and tracking program timing using MS Project or other project management software.

-  Hands on manufacturing process implementation using lean manufacturing experience including line balancing, single piece flow, kaizen, poke yoke, setup production, throughput measures, judoka and 5S.

-  Application of basic IE practices including time measurement, capacity planning, work sample studies, ergonomics and motion economy.

-  Interacting with customers regarding current and proposed processes

-  Problem solver who focuses on resolving issues in production areas, with preference towards high volume assembly operations.

Education, Experience and Skills Requirements:

 

· The successful candidate for this position will possess, at a minimum, a Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and 5 to 10 years managing engineers.

· A minimum of 5 years experience as a Director of Operations or similar.

· Computer literate – Microsoft Office

· Experience in ISO 9000 procedures.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Must be familiar with various measuring devices and analyzing information.

· Experience with Mil Specs and drawings.

· US citizenship

 

Optical engineering experience a plus, lenses, refraction indexes, optical systems

 

Experience Level: 8-10 years

Education Level:  Bachelor’s Degree-Mechanical/Industrial
