Engineering Specialist HFE

Description of Work: Apply psychological and physiological principles of human behavior to the design of the JLTV Family of Vehicles and Trailers. Apply computer-based modeling and simulation tools in support of human interface design. Function within an integrated product team environment to ensure HFE requirements and guidelines are flowed to and understood by engineering design functions. Assess human workload associated with Soldier-Machine Interface designs. Prepare research and technical documentation.Job Requirements: Working knowledge of human workload (cognitive and physical) and anthropometric measurement and assessment techniques. Experience in computer-based ergonomic modeling and GUI building tools. Experience with function and task identification, decomposition and allocation. Strong presentation and technical writing skills. Ability to interface directly with customers, soldiers and vendors.
