Assists in defining customer requirements, preparing scope of work including specifications and cost estimating for building systems and roads. Performs studies and surveys regarding facility requirements, capablities and solutions. Interprets change orders, diagrams, drawings, or other process and documentation as they relate to assigned projects. Works cooperatively with other personnel and functions to exchange information and resolve engineering issues. Carries out assignments assisting in the development of new or improved techniques and procedures.Assists with approval process from contractors in ensuring accordance with contract documents. Meeting and coordinating with vendors and outside engineering contractors.Knowledge of energy conservation (e.g., solar, wind, geothermal and/or fuel cell energy) is a plus.Candidates for this position will be subject to a government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship required.Required SkillsThis position requires a High School diploma and 2 years of related experience. Associate degree in technology area is a plus. Experience using MS Office Suite as well as good oral and written communications skills. AutoCAD experience is plus.Required ExperienceExperience in performing facility engineering services.
