Entry Level Electrical Engineer

Length of Assignment:  6 Months.Required:BS in physics or electrical engineering with 1-5 yrs or equivalent experience.  Knowledge of radiation effects in semiconductor devices and the ability to perform electrical and functional tests to determine how radiation affects their operation.  Proficiency in the use of laboratory equipment, including logic analyzers, oscilloscopes and general-purpose instruments with GPIB and parallel interfaces.  Strong oral and written communication skills are essential, as well as proficiency with computers for data taking, data analysis, and database management.  Approximately 5% travel ( one day a month).Desired:At least one year of experience with radiation testing of electronic parts (co-op experience is acceptable).  Knowledge of device physics, circuit operation, bipolar linear and CMOS technology.  Digital logic expertise, including high-speed serial and parallel interfacing to laboratory computers.  Knowledge of visual basic, labview, and C++ software in test development.  Proficiency in database development and management.Will:Design, prepare and troubleshoot test fixtures that are compatible with radiation facilities execution of radiation tests, data analysis and writing test reports.  Will perform radiation tests of microelectronic devices as a member of the Radiation Effects Group, and some of these tests will be done at off-site facilities..  Will maintain radiation database.  Will report to the Radiation Effects Group Supervisor.
