Environmental Control Systems (ECS) Technician

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES FOR THIS JOB

 Electro-mechanical assembly and testing of ECU products Plan equipment needs to build test set ups Perform monthly maintenance on equipment to prevent downtime Maintain log of calibration and the filtration system monthly Test parts per instructions/technical data Run production testing. Recommend changes on ATP as necessary Recommend solutions to the units that failed test. Repair or calibrate units, which do not meet criteria of ATP. Develop ideas to promote continuous improvement. Perform all necessary paperwork in accordance to our Inspection procedure manual and ISO handbook Maintain quality documents and records all the time Continuously think of ways to improve work processes Maintain open communications with internal customers all the time Reads electro-mechanical prints, specifications, and technical manuals

 

 QUALIFICATIONS

 

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

General knowledge equivalent to high school education

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

The Environmental Control Systems (ECS) Technician must have at least 5 years of experience in the aerospace industry in the fields of electromechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and environmental control systems. Must have full knowledge how to use; environmental control chambers, mechanical and electronic measurement instruments and equipment. Such as: calipers, height gages, depth indicators, micrometers, power supplies, multi-meters, pressure gages, flow meters, etc. Written and verbal communication in English is required to perform this job. The Environmental Control Systems (ECS) Technician needs to have some basic knowledge of lab view, office software (Word, excel, etc). Individual must know how to read/comprehend and understand electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electronic drawings and schematics.
