Environmental Health & Safety Engineer

GKN Aerospace, an international manufacturer of compressor airfoils and turbine engine components, has an immediate opportunity for an Environmental Health & Safety Engineer based in our Cincinnati location.  This position will serve both our Cincinnati and Muncie, Indiana facilities.

Responsibilities include: providing leadership for the integration of EH&S into all operations; providing support for Employee Safety Action Teams; implementation and enforcement of all corporate safety and environmental policies and procedures; maintenance of required EH&S documentation; compliance with federal, state and local regulations; and development and implementation of EH&S training programs.

Requirements include: BS in Safety, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline; At least 5 years EH&S experience in a manufacturing or forging environment; Demonstrate leadership and proven ability to interact with all levels of the organization as well as regulatory agency officials and auditors; Experience in Workers' Compensation; First Aid and CPR/ First Responder certification desirable; Professional certification (CSP, CIH, CHMM) desirable; Excellent oral and written skills and strong attention to detail; Fluent in all Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
