Experienced C4I Engineer

Description of Work: Perform requirements analysis for system, subsystem, and LRU-level electronics in C4I and related systems. Develop subsystem-level hardware & software functional design and interfaces. Write subsystem specifications for vehicle electronics. Develop and document test plans & procedures. Perform/support integration of C4I subsystems in the laboratory and on combat vehicles. Participate in testing in the laboratory and on combat vehicles. Participate in or support project technical/management reviews/discussions. May lead small or large project teams. Provide periodic reports to functional and program management. Participate in proposals, new business development, and project planning.Job Requirements: Bachelors Degree or higher in Electrical, Computer, or Communications Engineering required; related degrees will be considered with sufficient experience. 5 or more years of applicable experience required. Skills and experience in C4I, military communications equipment, and networking required. Experience with radio frequency (RF) and computer/communications networking analysis/design required. Experience with FBCB2, AFATDS, ABCS, or other command & control systems preferred. Experience with network centric warfare / operations preferred. System/subsystem engineering experience with military vehicle electronics preferred. Experience with the Global Positioning System (GPS) and land/inertial navigation systems desired. Knowledge of NSA/DoD/DIA electronic/software security regulations, DITSCAP/DIACAP, design principles, and encryption methods desired. Experience with network modeling and simulation (e.g., OPNET) desired. Experience with the Department of Defense (formerly C4ISR) Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and UML desired. Experience with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project) required. Good verbal and written communication skills required. Good organizational/planning/multi-tasking skills required. Experience with leading small or large teams desired. Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Ability to work occasional overtime, weekends, and late hours. Ability to work primarily in the office, frequently in the labs, and on occasional travel (mostly domestic, possibly international). Ability to operate laboratory and test/analysis equipment. Ability to carry equipment weighing 30 lbs. and meet ASR requirements for access to military vehicles. Ability to work on/inside military vehicles, work in confined spaces, and pass through hatches. US citizenship is required.
