Facilities Electrical Design Engineer

This highly reputable company who offers a complete line of propulsion products from launch vehicles to missile defense to advanced hypersonic propulsion and RES is assisting in identifying experienced Facilities Electrical Design Engineers for their facility in Canoga Park, CA.



This position is responsible for supporting Facilities Project Engineers in the development of Electrical Engineering Designs, calculations, specifications, and cost estimates for equipment acquisitions, facility renovations, and construction projects. This position interfaces with A&E firms, and reviews and approves construction documents; maintains as-built drawings and records; interprets and applies codes; and supports the Maintenance staff in trouble shooting and technical issues as required.

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

Education: A BS in Electrical Engineering is required. An advanced education in a technical field is preferred.

Experience/Qualifications: A minimum of five years of related experience is required, along with a California State License, Professional Engineer in Electrical Engineering. Candidate must be literate in AutoCad and MS products such as MSProject, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; and very knowledgeable of NEC and Building codes. Candidate must have an appreciation for continuous improvement, or ACE systems thinking, and support process improvement initiatives. Candidate should have excellent project management skills, team and customer focus, strong interpersonal qualities, and be comfortable at providing briefings at all levels of management and to key customers. Candidate will work across many different process areas.
