Facilitiles Technician IV

At Space Systems/Loral where our employees develop and build some of the most powerful and innovative satellite systems in the industry, you will join a team of highly motivated and skilled technicians. You will be responsible for preventive maintenance, inspection and repair to a variety of refrigeration, heating and air conditioning centrifugal, reciprocating and sealed units ranging from .5 to 400 ton capacity. You will also perform work on air compressors, pumps, fans and auxiliary equipment necessary to operate HVAC systems. You may also provide training as needed to other personnel. You must be able to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, layouts, drawings and wiring schematics as they apply to Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning; be familiar with water treatment on closed loop heating and chilled systems. Experience with digital control systems is essential. The position may require afternoon, midnight or weekend shift. Minimum Requirements: High school or equivalent plus vocational/technical training and six or more years of facilities maintenance related experience. A Universal EPA Certification for servicing HVAC equipment is required.
