Finance Program Coordinator

Position Description:Responsible for the management of numerous task order contracts and the associated funding documents. Manage strong communication lines with several contacts, to include base contracting officers and company billing specialists. Maintains audit trail to separately track, record, and report the status of each funding document. Meticulously reviews and verifies guidelines of contracts to ensure proper billing submission and payment is accurately processed. Constant maintenance and review of computerized spreadsheets that validate work submitted by contract companies authorized against individual invoices. Obtain working knowledge and posting accounting documentation (from budget authority through expenditure) that support the special programs community. Develops and maintains internal automated systems to track commitments, obligations, and expenditures against authorized funding. Ensure contract documents cite the correct funding, long line fund cite, ACRN, and the correct dollars are obligated. Validates contractor invoices, prepares paperwork for payment and obtains pre-validation if required. Performs quarterly reconciliation with multiple contractors, funding sponsors and higher authorities as required. Responsible for holding monthly Dormant meetings with financial analyst and their contracting officers

Educational: Associates Degree Desired.

Educational: 2+ Years with HS.

Functional: Minimum of two years experience working in accounting and finance arenas. Knowledge of budgeting for all types of funds and appropriations. Strong working knowledge of DoD/Air Force accounting system. Comprehension of automated data processing concepts, system capabilities. Ability to recognize and analyze problems, conduct research, summarize results and recommend appropriate suggestions.
