Financial Accounting Manager

Primary Responsibilities: External Reporting · Assist with the planning, preparation, review and issuance of the Company’s SEC filings (8-K, 10-Q, 10-K, Annual Report, etc.) · Responsible for managing the drafting of 10-Q’s and 10-K’s · Ensure SEC filings comply with U.S. GAAP and SEC Regulations · Interface with Legal Department for all SEC filings · Monitor competitor filings and current reporting trends and issues · Assist in the preparation of the Company’s quarterly earnings releases · Assist with review of the Company’s proxy filing · Manage the Company’s XBRL filing process · Interact with other corporate functions as well as businesses Audit Support · Serve as a key coordinator for the Company’s independent accountants during quarterly reviews and annual audits of external reporting documents: · Track open accounting issues requiring resolution · Participate in quarterly meetings with independent accountants · Assist Sarbanes-Oxley compliance for Corporate Accounting department · Serve as a key coordinator for the Company’s internal audit of external reporting documents and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance Accounting Matters · Assist in the implementation of various complex accounting matters including: · Newly introduced FASB, SEC and other accounting and reporting requirements · IFRS as required · Assist with Company’s EPS calculation and annual 142 assessment Required Skills, Knowledge & Experience: -Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics or related field - Licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or in the process of pursuing the license -5 years’ experience in public accounting / private industry - 2 years’ leadership experience managing a team in an accounting environment -2 – 4 years’ experience at a "Big 4" accounting firm -2 – 4 years’ experience with SEC disclosure and reporting requirements -Strong writing skills specifically with drafting of 10-Q’s and 10-K’s -Strong communication and interpersonal skills -Strong analytical and problem solving skills -Strong knowledge of reporting disclosure requirements -Ability to independently complete multiple time-sensitive tasks -Strong excel skills Preferred Skills, Knowledge & Experience: -Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field -SAP system and reporting experience Raytheon is proud to offer a comprehensive, competitive benefits package.
