Financial Planning Analyst

Systems Division provides select Government, commercial, and international customers value-added, total worldwide systems solutions for their air and missile defense, air traffic control, communications, command and control, range, spacelift, surveillance, and force protection needs, as well as full logistics support services for facilities and equipment. POSITION SUMMARY:Responsible for supporting the of all financial data required for ITT Industries, Systems Division Corporate Strategic Plan, Operating Plan, Budgets and current year's Forecast. Also, responsible for the supporting the preparation of the submission of the Corporate Five Year Forward Pricing Rates for billing and bidding purposes, and the Actual Rate Submittal to local DCAA representative.MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:1.Financial Analysis. Prepared and reports Variance analysis on ITT Systems Division monthly Financial position as compared to budget, forecast, and prior year. Both internally as well as externally.2.Plans, coordinates all financial activities with respect to Systems Division Corporate Strategic and Operating Plans, Budgets, and Forecasts.3.Supports and assists with DCAA activity with Forward Pricing Agreements, as well as the Incurred Cost Submissions.4.Participate in the annual Goal Deployment process and provides monthly written variance analysis to ITT Defense as well as ITT Systems regarding Key Business Metrics. 5.Improves and/or devises accounting systems when required.6.Supports internal, external and DCAA audit requests.7.Other Financial Analysis. Manage, participate, and support special assignments as may be required to satisfy request from ITT Industries, Systems Division management and ITT Defense.MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:Personal computer, printer, copy machine and other general office equipment.WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:Works in a general office environment. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education:At a minimum, a Bachelor's Arts or Bachelor's Science degree in Finance, Business Administration or Accounting is required. Master's Degree desired.Experience:Five years experience within Accounting/Finance in progressively responsible positions.. A high level of knowledge in the use of a PC is required.
