Flight OperatorSimi Valley, CAJOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:· Perform flight tests on production SUAV’s and related equipment to ensure quality. · Provide feedback to engineering and production teams on aircraft performance and problems.· Prepares detailed post-flight test reports.· Will be located at the Simi Valley but some travel to in isolated locations will be required. · Due to out-of-area testing requirements, candidate must be available to work overtime.· Will act as primary contact with customer and lead all flight acceptance test activity.· Will Lead Pre-acceptance flight test activity and support other Operators during acceptance tests.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND BACKGROUND:· 1-3 years experience in an aircraft manufacturing or Aerospace Firm or equivalent military experience and may include Lead experience.· Prior R/C model airplane experience strongly preferred. · Aviation background is preferred.· Manufacturing experience preferred.· Familiar with overall aircraft electronic systems, fabrication techniques, and flight characteristics.· Ability to be an effective team member. · Ability to train users to operate small UAV's in the field a plus. · Should have good oral and written communication skills.· Possess extensive patience in dealing with difficult operating environments. · Should understand customer marketing interface. · Exceptional interpersonal skills. · Should be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and objects of varying sizes for shipment to test sites and to customers.· Working outdoors at flight test sites on uneven terrain. · Must pay strict attention to Safety Protocols.This position requires you have access to data and technology that is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
