Flight Test Engineer Skills Required: Flight Test Engineer,Helicopter, Pilot Experience, AFCS Interface, Flight Test Cards, Digital Avionics, Digital 4 axis, Part 27 Twin Helicopter,FAR-JAR Ops, FAA Cat A Job Description: Flight Test EngineerWe are seeking a Flight Test Engineer to prepare, execute and evaluate flight tests for the development and certification of digital avionics and digital 4 axis autopilot on a Part 27 twin helicopter.Responsibilities include: - Develop executable Flight Test Cards that will allow the team to evaluate and test avionics and autopilot performance - Improve and streamline test processes and procedures - Execute the tasks developed by the team in the aircraft in Flight - Provide detailed subjective feedback concerning avionics and AFCS performance to the engineering team to rapidly develop and implement AFCS control laws and avionics performance - Assist engineering team in locating and evaluating critical flight test events in recorded fight test data - Develop a complete system level knowledge of the Avionics and AFCS systemQualified candidates will have: - 5 years experience as a helicopter Flight Test Engineer. - Graduate of an accredited Flight Test school and pilot experience preferred. - Must have working knowledge of FAR part 29 certification rules, JAR Ops 1 and FAA Cat A requirements and FAR 91 and 135 operational rules. This position requires use of a specialized AFCS interface tool, specialized Test Planning tool and MS Excel and Word. Candidate will need to pass major helicopter OEM security screening, Class B flight physical and water Egress training.Earn a generous salary with possible bonus along with an comprehensive benefit plan!
