Polk, LAReports To: ManagerFLSA Status: SCA SummaryThe forklift operator will be responsible for operation of a forklift and other materials handling equipment in support of the warehouse operations. Assists in the shipping/receiving function as directed, with proper maintenance of items in storage and with inventory functions.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.1. Operate forklift for all required articles.2. Ensure that forklift is properly maintained in accordance with manufacturer's requirements.3. Assist in shipping/receiving function.4. Assist in physical control over inventory items including stock rotation, security and other duties as required.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesCompetenciesQualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Minimum of three years experience in operation of a forklift.3. Can communicate well with other employees, EPA personnel and others as required.4. Able to identify any safety related problems and take appropriate action.5.
