In executing these projects, our people embrace integrity, excellence, teamwork and accountability - the values that connect us across the globe.The Information Technology Consulting group is seeking an individual to support the HQ ACC policy and guidance for the adoption, development, and implementation of the GeoBase concept at HQ ACC and ACC, CENTAF and SouthAF installations. The tasks are in support of HQ ACC/A7 efforts to develop a corporate, enterprise geospatial information system to aid in the management of man-made infrastructure, natural lands, and assets. Specific objectives include but are not limited to providing policy and guidance for: (1 onsite GIS support at HQ ACC/A7 and ACC installations; 2) monitoring the state of GIS development and GeoBase adoption at each installation; 3) developing recommendations for organizational GeoBase implementation and adoption at HQ and at each installation; 4) some development of technical documentation.Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information, including U.S. Citizenship. An Interim Security Clearance will be required. Requirements: Required Skills: • BS/BA in Geography or related field with an emphasis in GIS and/or Remote Sensing or demonstrated equivalent experience• 5 yrs functional experience on GIS projects• 3 yrs experience in GIS integration using ESRI software to include ArcGIS Desktop Software• 3 yrs experience in GIS project task management• 1 yr of demonstrated experience in developing and implementing ESRI Geodatabases• Experience/Understanding with Oracle 8.x or higher and ArcIMS 3.x or higher• Demonstrated proficiency with ArcSDE 8.x or higher• Experience in technical writing and or documentation• Strong written and verbal communication skillsDesired Skills: • Demonstrated experience in application development using one or more of the following programming languages: - VB/VBA- JavaScript- XML- ASP- JSP- HTML• 1 yr experience implementing the GeoBase concept for the Air Force• 1 yr experience of web development• GIS software related training experience• Field or desktop experience in Global Positioning System survey feature collection• Knowledge of relevant standards such as Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC) and Spatial Data Standard for Facilities, Infrastructure and the Environment (SDSFIE) Offering prospects for growth and opportunities to lead, Earth Tech is the kind of place where a person can make a difference.
