General Manager
Job Summary: The General Manager (GM) has primary responsibility for Technical Sales & Marketing and direct responsibility for purchasing. This includes commercial business practices and very detailed government contract management requirements. The GM provides technical operations guidance in the absence of the CEO. This position is a key leadership position that includes direct inputs, decision making and accountability for the growth of the company.
Personal traits: This is a perfect opportunity for an entrepreneurial minded individual that is ready to leverage his or her skills to help build ASI. Must be pro-active, able to identify issues and initiate actions and activities to solve problems. S/He will embrace having a wide degree of creativity and latitude. Must be able to lead and coordinate the work of others. S/He has a can-do attitude, willing to work until success is achieved, can go “hands-on” and is able to multi-task. S/He relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals of contracting and account management. S/He is familiar with a variety of the CMOS production process and device concepts, practices, and procedures.
Responsibilities: The most significant responsibility is the creation and management of good customer and vendor relationships for improvement and expansion of ASI capability in custom foundry services and Flexfet™ CMOS foundry offerings. This includes all aspects of marketing, promotion, quotation/RFQ creation, contract negotiations, order management, trade shows, and industry conferences. The GM provides direct coordination of ASI customer service and engineering support in Boise. The GM will also have responsibility for over site of purchasing and interaction with all ASI vendors.
Previous experience: At least 2 years in Business Development, Marketing or Sales. At least 5 years as a semiconductor industry engineer and at least 10 years semiconductor industry experience. Negotiation and contract management experience is required. P&L responsibility and general semiconductor fabrication experience is beneficial. The ASI fab environment is an advanced sub-100nm capability and the ability to interface and work closely with business and technical staff at all levels is of extreme importance to success in this position.

· Wafer fabrication processing familiarity on a technical level is mandatory.

· Familiarity with wafer foundry business model and flow: Design->Mask->Fab->Test->Assembly.
· Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
· Proficiency with spreadsheets, powerpoint and website software
Education:
Masters in Business with a BS in Engineering preferred. At a minimum, a BS degree is required with at least 10 years semiconductor industry experience.
Compensation: This is an “early stage” opportunity. Salaries are adequate and this position includes significant stock options for participation in the development of the company. Medical benefits are part of the total compensation package. The primary compensation benefit from this opportunity is only limited by the success of the GM in the position and the ability to join the ASI management team in creating significant business growth.
