Global Services Engineering-IGT Repair Design Engineer

Provide team leadership for product repair engineering and project management support to the Industrial Gas Turbine (IGT) unit of Pratt & Whitney Power Systems (PWPS) Aftermarket Services. Lead the non-PW IGT team in daily support of a seamless part repair development and repair overview. Work with the repair facilities on the implementation of new product line processes and development.

Participant will interface with a wide variety of disciplines within PWPS including Sales, Marketing, Engineering and Finance as well as with customer service representatives and external customers to determine repair requirements of various non-PW IGT hardware. Candidate will also visit external repair vendors and customers for repair overview and implementation.

Opportunity is located on-site in Pratt & Whitney Power Systems repair facility in San Antonio.

PWPS repair facility is focused on the repair of GE and Siemens combustor, turbine hot section and power turbine components.



BS in Engineering.





Engineering/technical experience in the design, development or repair of turbine engine components (IGT component experience is a plus).

Experience with repair processes, such as: NDT, chemical stripping, heat treatment, welding, brazing, machining and coatings.


Assignment will cover a variety of responsibilities within component repair including:
- Leading IGT services in the development of new part repairs.
- Leading IGT services to resolve part repair and process technical issues.
- Contact between customers, repair units and PW Engineering for new repair implementation.
- Assist with repair unit process improvement activities.
