GROUND SYSTEMS ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

This position will be responsible for the design of reliable products as well as designing for EMI/EMC.  Working as part of the GCS team to develop performance testing metrics to introduce redundant hardware designs for "in field recoveries' as well as establish periodic hardware reviews.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have 5 or more years experience in many of the following areas:Rack mounted systems High speed digital circuit design Signal integrity SMT soldering/rework Prototyping FPGA / PLD (Verilog / VHDL) design High power systems and power distribution Fiber optics, ground system connectors High speed digital communications including multiplexed systems Bus standards including SPI, Ethernet, TTP/c, CAN, Mil-Std 1553, etc. Analog & low noise circuit design Measurement techniques Sensor signal conditioning Microprocessor systems design

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

Must know how to use the majority of the following tools:Circuit simulators Logic analyzer Oscilloscope Microprocessor debuggers Spectrum analyzer Network analyzer Solid Works, Visio or another drawing package desired Utilize OrCAD or other schematic capture software as well as use PADS or other circuit board layout software

Candidate should have:Experience working with ISO9000 processes and procedures Experience in creating documents such as drawings, work instructions, specifications, test procedures and BOMs Ability to communicate effectively with individuals of various technical backgrounds and experience Experience in design for manufacturing Familiarity with network engineering, focusing on integrating real time digital, video, and voice data systems over modem, Internet, and Ethernet protocols in a Windows XP environment

Education

Bachelors degree or higher.  Specify degree area if applicable: BSEE or MSEE
