HANDS ON ASSITANT MAINTENANCE MANAGER FOR A GROWING AEROSPACE PARTS MANUFACTURER

We are currently seeking a Hands on Assistant Maintenance Manager for a growing Aerospace parts manufacturer in Paramount, California.  This position works directly under the Maintenance Manager.  He or she will be responsible for assigning jobs to maintenance personnel/maintenance lead-man and be able to follow written and verbal instructions from the Maintenance Manager.  Troubleshoot problems with all plant equipment, maintain the safety policies of Weber Metals, Inc., establish and manage priorities, and manage the preventive maintenance system. He or she must be able to check maintenance personnel for job completion and requirements, prepare a list of and order materials required for prompt repair of facilities and equipment, as well as train and instruct the maintenance personnel as necessary. 

Requirements:Minimum of 5 years in an Industrial Maintenance environment. Minimum of 3 years evolvement with PLC systems. Understand mechanical, electrical and hydraulics of large plant equipment. Strong management skills. Ability to follow instructions and meet target dates. In-depth knowledge of the operation of large plant equipment. Familiar with hand tools and related equipment. Familiar with computer systems Good verbal and written communication skills. Able to lift up to 50 lbs. (bend, climb, etc.).

Education/Training Requirements:B.S. degree in ME, EE, or Mfg. Engineer preferred but a 2 year degree plus hands on maintenance experience will be considered. Ability to read mechanical blueprints and hydraulic/electrical schematics. Knowledge of proper documentation (record keeping).

Plus:Hands on shop floor maintenance experience.
