The Company
Our client is a world class manufacturer of propulsion systems for both human-rated and unmanned space launch vehicles, strategic missiles, global strike missiles, and missile defense interceptors. Our client serves both commercial and governmental customers, including prime contractors, NASA, and the US Military.
The Position
The Hydraulics Project Engineer, Level II, will work with the project engineering team to create, derive, and manage electrical system requirements for First Stage Avionics and range systems. The Engineer will provide technical direction on the systems, interact directly with the various design authorities to support development, production, static test, and development flight motors. The Hydraulics Project Engineer will be responsible for a broad range of technical issues from a system perspective to design and resolve performance and interface requirements, while managing the allocation, flowdown, and verification of these requirements. This Engineer will support and direct all avionics logistic function including maintainability, supportability, spares, human factors, etc. He/she will coordinate within the avionics engineering department to ensure requirements and electrical design considerations are being properly applied at integrated assembly and piece-part levels.
Candidate Qualifications
The candidate must have a BS in Engineering (MS preferred) with a minimum of 2 years of experience in control systems, hydraulic design, and actuation. In addition, candidates should have the following:System perspective and understanding of DoD and/or NASA design processExtensive experience in technical presentations to customersStrong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work both independently and within a team environmentStrong communication, leadership, and technical excellence skills
Compensation
The compensation range is from $80K up to $100K+ (depending on level of experience), plus annual performance merit process and annual performance schedule. In addition, the client offers a stimulating environment and an excellent opportunity to make a difference.
