Hardware Engineering Intern - Junior

This position requires use and application of technical standards, principles, concepts, and techniques with the mechanical engineering field. Candidate will be expected to follow established processes and procedures while working under general supervision. Work output will be reviewed for technical soundness and adequacy by others to ensure the overall design objectives are met. Position will require internal company written and oral communication and coordination with inter-organizational and outside supplier contacts. This internship is a year-round internship with full-time hours during the summer and 20 hours per week during the school-year. Required Skills: Ability to participate in implementing common process architecture for engineering, involvement in supplier dialog, work involvement with basic Pro Engineering drawings and modeling, manufacturing support, failure analysis, basic mechanical design for castings, sheet metal, circuit boards, cables, etc. Must have an overall GPA of at least 3.0. Desired Skills: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Education Required: Pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering.
